New Delhi, Dec 31(.) On the eve of the New Year, Delhi Chandni Chowk MP and Secretary General of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), Praveen Khandelwal said that as 2025 draws to a close, India reflects with confidence on the steady strengthening of its trade, economy and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
He said that policy stability, ease of doing business reforms, expansion of digital and physical infrastructure, and focused support to domestic manufacturing and exports marked the outgoing year. Flagship initiatives such as Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Make in India, Vocal for Local and Digital India have empowered traders, MSMEs and startups to compete effectively in domestic and global markets.
”Despite global uncertainties, India’s trade sector showed remarkable resilience, supported by reforms in taxation, logistics, compliance simplification and improved access to credit, especially for small traders,” he added
Looking ahead to 2026, Khandelwal said the trading community enters the New Year with renewed optimism and confidence. Under PM Modi’s leadership, India is poised to accelerate growth, strengthen exports, deepen manufacturing capabilities and move decisively towards becoming a $5 trillion economy.
He said that the business community places full faith in PM and remains committed to partnering with the government to build a stronger, self-reliant and globally respected India.
