New Delhi, Dec 23 (.) Vijay Deverakonda is all set to showcase his most intense and ferocious look yet in Ravi Kiran Kola’s upcoming film Rowdy Janardhana.
The makers have released a powerful announcement video and poster, instantly setting social media on fire.
In the first glimpse, Vijay is almost unrecognisable. He appears shirtless, drenched in blood, wearing a dark lungi, and wielding a machete, with thick, untamed hair and a heavy moustache. The rugged transformation reflects a character steeped in rage, violence, and raw intensity.
The poster carries the caption, “Biography of a wounded Man. Rowdy Janardhana,” while the announcement video urges viewers to “See HIM, hear HIM, Remember the NAME.” Together, they establish the gritty and action-packed tone of the film.
The video shows Vijay taking on anyone who challenges him, delivering intense action sequences alongside a memorable dialogue, “Kalingapatnam lo intikokka lakoduku nenu rowdy ni ani chepuku tirugutunnadu. Kaani inti peru ne rowdy ga marchukunnodu okkade unnadu (Every son of a bh in Kalingapatnam goes around calling himself a rowdy. But there’s only one who changed his surname to it).”
The line references Vijay’s long-standing association with the term “Rowdy,” a nickname he affectionately uses for his fans. Following this, the film’s title and Vijay’s character name, Rowdy Janardhana, are revealed, eliciting loud cheers online.
Beyond his physical transformation, Vijay has adopted a rustic accent, moving away from his familiar Telangana twang to anchor the character in its rooted, raw setting. He also personally requested producer Dil Raju to film the first look specially for his fans, showing his deep involvement in the project.
Adding to the excitement, Vijay shared a personal video message, expressing how much he missed revealing the film’s first look alongside his fans, covering his face briefly with his palm in a touching gesture.
With its gritty visuals, intense dialogue, and never-before-seen avatar, Rowdy Janardhana is already shaping up as one of the most anticipated films, slated for theatrical release in December 2026.
