New Delhi, Jan 7 (.) The new crime docu-series ‘Honeymoon Se Hatya’ is set to premiere on January 9. The series will stream on ZEE5.
Described as a bold and unsettling exploration of real-life crimes, the series focuses on cases where wives murdered their husbands, going beyond sensational headlines to examine a haunting question: why women kill, according to a press note.
The docu-series revisits some of India’s most disturbing and widely discussed cases, including the Meghalaya Sonam Raja Raghuvanshi case, the Meerut Blue Drum case, the Bhiwani Influencer case, the Mumbai Tile (Nalasopara Tile) case, and the Delhi Electric Shock case, each of which captured national attention and sparked intense public debate.
Speaking about the show, Kaveri Das, Chief Channel Officer, &TV, and Business Head (Hindi), ZEE5, said, “With Honeymoon Se Hatya, we are expanding our documentary slate to include deeper, more emotionally charged stories. In today’s rapidly evolving social landscape, understanding the pressures within marriages has never been more important. These stories expose fractures that often go unnoticed until it’s too late.”
She added that viewers can expect a gripping experience marked by emotional depth, realism, and lingering insights.
“Honeymoon Se Hatya is meant to spark conversations around relationships, power dynamics, and the silent battles fought within homes,” she said.
