Sri City (Tirupati Dist), Jan 9 (.) Healthium Medtech, a leading Indian precision medical technology company, on Friday announced it has expanded its manufacturing facility at Sri City, strengthening its production capabilities for advanced medical devices.
The expanded facility was inaugurated by the company’s CEO, Mr. Anish Bafna, in the presence of Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director of Sri City.
The expansion will significantly increase Healthium’s production capacity from 1.3 lakh dozens per month to 2.8 lakh dozens per month, the company said in a release here.
The facility manufactures wound closure devices, surgical sutures, meshes, and other advanced medical products catering to both domestic and international markets.
Healthium Medtech has been operating at Sri City since 2012 through its SEZ facility and its latest expansion is expected to double employment opportunities at the plant.
The company exports its products to over 90 countries across Europe, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Speaking at the inauguration, Bafna said the expansion reflects Healthium’s commitment to strengthening India’s healthcare manufacturing ecosystem by reducing dependence on imports and improving access to high-quality medical devices.
He also highlighted the company’s focus on inclusive growth, noting that women constitute more than 70% of the workforce at the Sri City plant.
Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy welcomed the expansion, stating that Healthium’s growth reinforces Sri City’s position as a key hub for healthcare and advanced manufacturing, aligned with its vision of innovation and global competitiveness.
