Mies (Switzerland), Jan 15 (.) The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced Thursday that the 3×3 Champions Cup is set for its second edition in Bangkok, Thailand, from March 13 to 15, after a successful debut in 2025.
The new Champions Cup brings together the top eight national teams per gender, including continental champions, World Cup winners, top-ranked nations and hosts Thailand, to the high-stakes showdown.
Serbia won the men’s title and Canada won the women’s counterpart last year, while the 2026 edition’s winners will qualify directly to the FIBA 3×3 World Cup 2027, 3×3 Champions Cup 2027 and the Cups-based Olympic Qualification Tournament in 2028, FIBA announced.
Teams for the 2026 Champions Cup: Men’s: Spain, Serbia, Madagascar, Lithuania, the United States, Australia, the Netherlands, Thailand.
Women’s: Canada, the Netherlands, Madagascar, the United States, Azerbaijan, Australia, Spain, Thailand.
