Davos, Jan 21 (.) The Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy-led ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation on Tuesday secured another major Global Capability Centre (GCC) investment at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, with cosmetics major L’Oréal announcing that it will inaugurate the world’s first beauty-tech hub in Hyderabad in November 2026.
The announcement was made during the delegation’s meeting with Nicolas Hieronimus, Chief Executive Officer of L’Oréal. Hieronimus expressed delight over setting up a large-scale beauty-tech GCC in Hyderabad with a significant investment.
The upcoming GCC will function as L’Oréal’s global innovation, technology, data and supply chain hub, supporting the company’s worldwide digital transformation, AI and analytics initiatives. Tech solutions developed from the Hyderabad facility will be supplied to L’Oréal units across the world, the CEO said, adding that the new hub would strengthen Hyderabad’s growing position as a key global enterprise operations destination.
L’Oréal also invited Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister D. Sridhar Babu to attend the inauguration of the facility in November 2026.
Minister Sridhar Babu recalled that the Chief Minister had been keen on bringing L’Oréal’s GCC to Hyderabad and assured the company of full government support. Pitching Hyderabad as one of the best destinations for global investors, the Minister said Telangana was leading the GCC space not only in med-tech and health-tech but also by creating new categories such as beauty-tech.
He noted that several hospitality majors like Marriott are also setting up GCCs in Telangana, while companies such as Vanguard, Netflix, McDonald’s, Heineken, Jaggaer and Costco Wholesale have recently chosen Hyderabad for their GCC operations.
During the interaction, the delegation also briefed L’Oréal about the launch of the Telangana AI Innovation Hub (TAIH), which the CEO said was an interesting initiative.
Special Chief Secretary (ITE&C and Industries) Sanjay Kumar invited L’Oréal to explore setting up a manufacturing unit in Hyderabad in the future, citing Telangana’s strong ecosystem and infrastructure advantages. Responding positively, Hieronimus said the company was interested in exploring future manufacturing investments in Hyderabad, according to an official statement here on Wednesday.
