Davos/Hyderabad, Jan 21 (.) Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy-led ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation on Day-2 (Wednesday) of WEF 2026 held a breakfast meeting with Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran at the TCS Pavilion, extensively presenting the State’s ‘Telangana Rising 2047’ vision, policies and growth ecosystem.
The Chief Minister pitched plans to upgrade major stadiums in Hyderabad with Tata support, to which Chandrasekaran agreed to engage. The discussions also covered scaling up skilling initiatives, including upgrading government polytechnic colleges, and the Young India Sports University vision aimed at building world-class public sports infrastructure.
The Tata Group also expressed interest in partnering Telangana’s Musi River rejuvenation efforts and discussed opportunities to set up hotels and resorts, particularly in temple towns such as Medaram, Vemulawada and Bhadrachalam, besides exploring a resort project along the Srisailam highway.
Chandrasekaran indicated that Tata was positive about future investments in areas such as AI data centres, semiconductors, EVs and new manufacturing plants in Telangana. The meeting was attended by Minister D. Sridhar Babu, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and senior officials, according to an official statement.
