Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday extended his felicitations to the recipients of the Padma Awards 2026, recognising their exceptional contributions to various fields. “Congratulations to all the Padma Awardees for their outstanding contributions to our nation. Their excellence, dedication and service across diverse fields enrich the fabric of our society,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
‎The Padma Awards, among India’s highest civilian honors, were announced on the eve of Republic Day, honouring 131 individuals, including five Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri awardees. Notable recipients include Dharmendra, Shibu Soren, Rohit Sharma, and Harmanpreet Kaur.
