New Delhi, Jan 26 (.) As the nation united to mark the 77th Republic Day, voices from the film and entertainment industry joined in celebrating the spirit of patriotism. Commemorating the day India adopted its Constitution, several celebrities took to social media to share messages of pride, gratitude and national unity.
Actor Hrithik Roshan extended his wishes on X, writing, “Heartfelt Republic Day wishes to all of you. Jai Hind.”
In a heartwarming gesture, Alia Bhatt shared a picture of the national flag made by her daughter Raha and conveyed her Republic Day greetings.
Akshay Kumar also marked the occasion on Instagram, posting the message, “Let’s say with pride, we are Indians! Happy Republic Day. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.”
Priyanka Chopra Jonas joined the celebrations by sharing an old photograph and writing, “This day, 77 years ago… Happy Republic Day.”
Varun Dhawan, meanwhile, shared a glimpse of his character from the upcoming film Border 2 along with a Republic Day message on Instagram.

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and President of the European Council Antonio Luís Santos da Costa attended the celebrations as Chief Guests, adding an international dimension to the historic occasion.
