A high-level delegation from the Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Ltd (RIICO), Government of Rajasthan, on Friday undertook a study tour of Telangana’s major industrial and IT hubs to understand best practices that have positioned the state as a preferred global investment destination.
The delegation, led by Shivangi Swarnkar, Managing Director of RIICO, visited key locations including HITEC City, Mindspace, Genome Valley, and the Electronic Manufacturing Clusters at Raviryala and Maheshwaram (E-City).
The visit focussed on understanding the processes adopted by the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) in land management, infrastructure development and maintenance.
Following the field visits, the RIICO team held a high-level meeting at the TGIIC head office with K. Shashanka, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of TGIIC, and senior heads of departments.
During the interaction, Shashanka briefed the delegation on the “Telangana Rising: Vision 2047” initiative and outlined the state’s roadmap to transition towards a USD 3 trillion economy with an emphasis on balanced regional development. He attributed Telangana’s industrial growth to the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the guidance of Industries and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu.
Appreciating Telangana’s approach, Shivangi Swarnkar said TGIIC’s streamlined systems in land management and infrastructure maintenance, along with the state’s IT and life sciences ecosystems, set a benchmark for other states across the country, according to an official statement.
