Hyderabad, Jan 30 (.) The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) Hyderabad on Friday welcomed the Economic Survey 2025–26, saying it reaffirms Hyderabad’s position as a key engine of India’s urban and economic growth.
The Survey projects 7.4 per cent GDP growth for FY26, backed by strong gross fixed capital formation nearing 30 per cent of GDP, robust services sector growth of 9.1 per cent, and fiscal consolidation with the deficit around 4.8 per cent. It also highlights strong momentum in financial, real estate and professional services, which grew by 9.9 per cent in the first half of FY26, while construction expanded by 7.4 per cent.
CREDAI Hyderabad noted that the city’s growth is marked by simultaneous core densification and rapid peripheral expansion, underlining the need for infrastructure, mobility and utilities to keep pace with urban expansion.
Commenting on the Survey, Jagannath Rao Bandari, President-elect of CREDAI Hyderabad, said sustaining this momentum requires predictable regulations, contextual compliance and trust-based governance to address constraints related to land, mobility and infrastructure.
The association also flagged the high cost of capital as a key constraint and called for risk-mitigation tools, partial credit guarantees and improved access to long-term finance to support housing across segments. Ahead of the union Budget 2026, CREDAI Hyderabad sought continued thrust on infrastructure funding, support for PMAY 2.0, single-window clearances and tax reforms to improve housing affordability and boost homeownership.
Reiterating its commitment to reform-led growth and sustainable urban development, CREDAI Hyderabad said it looks forward to policies that strengthen Hyderabad’s contribution to India’s USD 5 trillion economy, according to a statement.
