As Maharashtra mourns the untimely demise of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, the entertainment industry has also taken sensitive decisions in view of the prevailing atmosphere of grief. The makers of the Marathi film ‘Punha Ekda Sade Maade Teen’, which was slated for release on Friday, have announced that the film’s release has been postponed.
The decision was communicated through an official post shared by the film’s team on social media. In the statement, the makers expressed deep sorrow over the passing away of “Maharashtra’s beloved Deputy Chief Minister Ajitdada Pawar,” noting that the entire state is engulfed in grief and that the loss has left every Marathi heart deeply pained.
“Sharing in this collective mourning and keeping in mind the sensitivity of the moment, we have decided to postpone the release of our upcoming film ‘Punha Ekda Sade Maade Teen’,” the post read.
The team also paid heartfelt tribute to Ajit Pawar and conveyed sincere condolences to his family members as well as to the people of Maharashtra. However, no official announcement has yet been made regarding the film’s revised release date.
The film is directed by Ankush Chaudhari.
