Hyderabad, Feb 1 (.) The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) has welcomed the union Budget 2026–27 as progressive and stability-focused, describing it as a continuity-driven Budget that balances growth with fiscal prudence amid global uncertainties.
Reacting to the Budget, FTCCI President Ravi Kumar said the strong thrust on MSMEs, including the Rs 10,000 crore MSME Growth Fund and an additional Rs 2,000 crore support for micro enterprises, would improve access to capital and encourage entrepreneurship.
He also welcomed the renewed focus on domestic manufacturing through initiatives such as the Rs 10,000 crore ‘Biopharma Shakti’ programme and continued support to the Semiconductor Mission.
FTCCI leaders appreciated the proposed high-speed and semi-high-speed rail connectivity linking Hyderabad with major economic centres, saying it would enhance mobility and regional integration. While welcoming initiatives for tourism, they noted that deeper structural reforms were still required.
Senior Vice President K.K. Maheshwari said the Budget supported capital market stability but expressed concern over the increase in STT on F&O. Vice President Srinivas Garimella said the Budget offered positives for MSMEs and Atmanirbhar Bharat, though it fell short on TDS rationalisation and expansion of the PLI scheme.
Industry representatives also cited missed opportunities in enhanced infrastructure outlay, manufacturing incentives and tourism reforms, while acknowledging the Budget’s overall emphasis on economic stability, skills and long-term resilience.
