Los Angeles, Feb 2 (.) President Donald Trump threatened to sue Trevor Noah after the 2026 Grammys monologue on Jeffrey Epstein, calling the Daily Show host a “total loser.”
He further slammed the Grammys as “virtually unwatchable” following a joke about Trump’s alleged ties to Epstein.
Trump posted on Truth Social over the Grammys Sunday night, blasting Trevor Noah as a “poor, pathetic, talentless dope” and promising a lawsuit over an Epstein Island zinger that struck a raw nerve.
Noah, during Billie Eilish’s Song of the Year win for Wildflower, said, “There you have it, song of the year! Congratulations, Billie Eilish. Wow. That’s a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. Which makes sense because, since Epstein’s gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton.”
Trump denied any association with Epstein or his properties.
“Noah said, INCORRECTLY, about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media,” he wrote.
He also targeted Noah directly, warning of legal action, “Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast. It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty. Ask Little George Slopadopolus and others how that all worked out. Also, ask CBS! Get ready, Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!”
Trump’s critique focused on Noah and the Grammys themselves, while he largely ignored Bad Bunny’s historic Album of the Year win for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, the first Spanish-language LP to take the top prize. The Grammy victory comes just one week before Bad Bunny headlines the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, which Trump has previously criticized.
“I’ve never heard of him,” Trump told NewsMax’s Greg Kelly Reports last October after Bad Bunny was announced as the Super Bowl performer. “I don’t know who he is… I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s crazy. And then they blame it on some promoter they hired to pick up entertainment, I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.”
