Hyderabad, Feb 7 (.) Bartronics India Limited (BIL) is strengthening its agritech business strategy with plans to launch a voice-first, multilingual, AI-powered rural technology platform in March, following a successful pilot in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
The pilot phase delivered strong farmer engagement and validated Bartronics’ business model, supported by assured off-take linkages through partnerships with SNN and Origo Commodities, the Hyderabad based company said in a release today.
These linkages are expected to strengthen supply-chain integration and enhance monetisation opportunities across procurement and market access services.
As part of its scale-up strategy, the company is upgrading the platform to offer AI-driven, voice-first interactions in English, Hindi, Marathi, Telugu and Kannada.
Market benchmarking and farmer feedback highlighted voice technology as a key differentiator, enabling faster adoption in rural markets and reducing customer acquisition and support costs.
The AI voice architecture is being developed by Ampivo Smart Technologies.
The conversational voice layer is expected to convert the platform into a digital assistant rather than a simple transactional app, improving retention and lifetime value as adoption expands.
Beyond advisory services, the platform is designed to build a structured, consent-driven farmer data asset, enabling integration with eMandis, output marketplaces and agri-financial ecosystems. This data layer is also expected to open future revenue streams through participation in climate and sustainability-linked initiatives such as carbon credit programmes and climate-positive agriculture projects.
Commenting on the initiative under Project Avio Agritech, Managing Director Vidhya Sagar Reddy said the company aims to build a unified rural intelligence layer connecting farmers to markets and climate-linked opportunities. Bartronics has set a target to onboard 20 million farmers over the next three years, positioning the platform as a key growth engine in its rural and agritech portfolio.
The upcoming launch marks a strategic milestone for Bartronics as it pivots toward scalable, technology-led rural solutions with long-term revenue potential.
