New Delhi, Feb 10 (.) Actor Zahan Kapoor and Shalini Pandey-starrer musical dramedy ‘Bandwaale’ is set to premiere on Prime Video on February 13.
Prime Video shared the poster with the release date on its official Instagram account writing, “get ready for the voice of rebellion that refuses to fade out.”
Set in the town of Ratlam, the series follows Mariam, a young woman who writes poetry and shares it online under a pseudonym. Through her words, she seeks freedom and a sense of identity.
Her journey intersects with that of her close friends, Robo and DJ Psycho, members of a small-town band. Together, the trio navigate life through music, friendship, and hope as they come of age.
‘Bandwaale’ is created and written by Ankur Tewari and Swanand Kirkire, and directed by Akshat Verma and Ankur Tewari. The series is produced by OML Entertainment, with music composed by Yashraj Mukhate, marking his first full-length web series as a composer.
In addition to Zahan Kapoor and Shalini Pandey, the show features Swanand Kirkire, Ashish Vidyarthi, Anupama Kumar, and Sanjana Dipu in key roles.
The narrative centres on everyday life, small aspirations, and the quiet courage required to find one’s voice. Using poetry and music as its emotional core, the series explores doubts, choices, and the challenges of growing up. ‘Bandwaale’ will stream on Prime Video from February 13.
Zahan Kapoor was last seen in the Netflix crime drama series Black Warrant, released on January 10, 2025. Based on the memoir of former Tihar Jail superintendent Sunil Gupta, the series follows an idealistic jailer grappling with systemic challenges, violent inmate gangs, and notorious criminals, including Charles Sobhraj.
