‎New Delhi, Feb 14 (.) ‎Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday paid a heartfelt tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, remembering their supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.
‎In a message posted on X, Gandhi wrote: “Pulwama mein 2019 ke dussahasi aatanki hamle mein shaheed hue hamare veer jawano ko meri bhavpoorn shraddhanjali. Bharat Mata ki raksha mein unke sarvochch balidan ke liye desh sadaiv unka rini rahega.”
‎Forty CRPF personnel were killed in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on February 14, 2019. The attack, carried out by a suicide bomber targeting a convoy of security forces, had sent shockwaves across the country and prompted strong diplomatic and military responses from India.
‎Gandhi’s tribute comes as the nation continues to remember the bravery and sacrifice of the martyred soldiers. Across India, political leaders, armed forces personnel, and citizens observed the anniversary with solemn ceremonies and memorial events.
‎Highlighting the enduring gratitude of the nation, Gandhi emphasised that India would “sadaiv rini rahega” (forever indebted) to the martyrs who laid down their lives in defence of “Bharat Mata.”
