New Delhi, Feb 15 (.) The Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor has claimed that the current employment crisis faced by contractual employees in Delhi is the result of the AAP government’s failure to follow government recruitment rules.
Kapoor has alleged that as an attempt to provide government jobs to hundreds of his party workers, former CM Arvind Kejriwal recruited thousands of people as bus marshals and health workers on a contractual basis without following administrative rules.
Soon after investigations began into the matter, Kejriwal himself dismissed the said employees during his own tenure, Kapoor said.
According to Kapoor, the AAP which itself violated rules to distribute contractual jobs and then dismissed those employees out of fear of investigation, is now, while in opposition, trying to sit on the shoulders of contractual workers, mislead them, and revive its politics, he alleged.
The Delhi BJP spokesperson said that it is a strange irony that AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj, after terminating thousands of youths during his time in power, is now instigating them to stage a protest on March 1.
Sharpening his attack on Bharadwaj, Kapoor alleged that he is now trying to save his political existence by riding on the shoulders of employees who were harassed during his own party’s rule by seeking their support to agitate. . APS KK
