New Delhi, Feb 18 (.) Nithya Menen, Indian actress and singer who works predominantly in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films, has announced the launch of her own production house, Keyuri Productions.
The actor, known for her work across multiple Indian film industries, shared the news through her social media platforms, introducing the banner and outlining her creative vision for the projects she plans to back.
The ‘Idli Kadai’ actor described her relationship with cinema as deeply personal. In her official statement, she reflected on what filmmaking means to her, writing, “Making films, for me, was always more than just telling stories. It was about being able to reach actual people at such a deep level. A place deeper than intellect. A place above thought. Above reason. “
She further wrote, “To stir a transformation, both within me, when I am absorbed in the creative process, and within the other who watches. To create shifts that ripple quietly. Changed in ways we cannot fully name. Imperceptibly at first, but irreversibly.
“Creating through films, to me, is the miracle of touching what is human and unguarded. While that has been my process and intention since the first day I began acting, it will continue to remain the intention while I now produce films. I present to you, Keyuri Productions,” she said.
Although the announcement has sparked curiosity, Menen has not yet disclosed any details about the projects that will be developed under the new banner. She began her career as a child artist in ‘Hanuman’ (1998) and later appeared in supporting roles, gaining early recognition with ‘7 O’Clock’ (2006). She made her lead debut with ‘Aakasha Gopuram’ (2008) and entered Telugu cinema with Ala Modalaindi (2011).
Most recently, Menen won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in Thiruchitrambalam. She was last seen in ‘Idli Kadai’ alongside Dhanush and also featured in Thalaivan Thalaivii with Vijay Sethupathi last year.
