Mumbai, Feb 19 (.) Indian film producer Ritesh Sidhwani, co-founder of Excel Entertainment, will attend the 79th BAFTA Film Awards in London on Feb. 22, as a special guest, the company said.
Sidhwani is expected to join a line-up of international film personalities at the ceremony, including Indian actors Alia Bhatt and Riz Ahmed, as well as Hollywood actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael B. Jordan and Cillian Murphy, among others.
The British Academy Film Awards, widely known as the BAFTAs, honour outstanding achievements in global cinema and the arts annualy.
The 79th BAFTA Film Awards will be held in London on Feb. 22.
The event assumes much significance for Excel Entertainment as its 2024 film ‘Boong’ has been nominated in the Best Children’s & Family Film category.
It is a critically acclaimed Manipuri-language coming-of-age drama directed by Lakshmipriya Devi.
The film follows a young boy’s journey to reunite his family amidst regional turmoil. It was also featured at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival. . . .
