Los Angeles, Feb 19 (.) Devon Sawa has been tapped for a guest-starring turn in Disney’s forthcoming supernatural dramedy “Coven Academy, the latest venture from Tim Federle, the creative force behind “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”.
The show, commissioned for 2025, will air on Disney Channel and stream on Disney , with its premiere date yet to be announced, reports DEADLINE.
Sawa will play Cole, the effortlessly cool teacher who’s tired of watching teenagers mistake talent for readiness.
Set in the culturally rich and mystical city of New Orleans, “Coven Academy” follows three teenage witches and their charismatic warlock classmates at a prestigious magic institution. As age-old supernatural rivalries resurface, the young coven must weigh loyalty against survival in their quest to protect both their city and themselves.
Main cast includes Malina Pauli Weissman, Malachi Barton, Jordan Leftwich, Ora Duplass (“Their Town”) as Tegan, Louis Thresher and Tiffani Thiessen. Swayam Bhatia, Brendon Tremblay and Keegan Connor Tracy recur.
