New Delhi, Feb 21 (.) Delhi CM Rekha Gupta on Saturday strongly criticised the Congress party over its actions during the ongoing India AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam, alleging a “deliberate conspiracy” to disrupt the event and damage India’s global image.
In a statement, the Chief Minister said the disruption at the AI Summit was not merely an attempt to disturb a programme but a “planned effort” to weaken India’s reputation, honour and bright future. She accused the Congress of placing political interests above national interests and said the party has never accepted India’s growth or its emerging global leadership role.
“This is a new India that is moving forward and leading the world. The people of the country will not allow it to be weakened at any cost,” Gupta said, condemning what she described as the Congress’ irresponsible behaviour.
She said the India AI Impact Summit being held at Bharat Mandapam is shaping the direction of the future, and termed the alleged disruption during the global event as “deeply shameful,” especially in the presence of foreign delegates.
She further alleged that whenever India showcases its capabilities or hosts a major international event, the Congress attempts to create obstacles.
Referring to Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Gupta claimed that such actions reflect “negative leadership” aimed at tarnishing the country’s image.
Gupta said while India is emerging as a “technology powerhouse,” the Congress has reduced itself to negative politics and public theatrics.
She said citizens are closely watching the contrast between India’s technological rise and what she described as disruptive political conduct.
