‎Taking to the social media platform X, the Prime Minister wrote, “Best wishes to Mizoram CM Pu Lalduhoma on his birthday. Praying for his long life and good health.”
‎Lalduhoma, a former Indian Police Service officer turned politician, has been serving as the Chief Minister of Mizoram since December 2023. He leads the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), which secured a decisive mandate in the 2023 Mizoram Assembly elections, ending decades of dominance by national parties in the northeastern state.
‎Known for his emphasis on governance reforms and regional development, Lalduhoma has advocated for greater transparency in public administration and economic growth tailored to Mizoram’s unique socio-cultural context.
