On Sunday, the couple took to Instagram to announce that they are stepping into a new phase of their lives together. In a heartfelt message dedicated to their fans, Vijay and Rashmika revealed that their wedding will be titled “The Wedding of VIROSH.”
Explaining the sentiment behind the name, the duo shared that it was not chosen by wedding planners or inspired by family customs. Instead, it was lovingly created by their fans years ago by blending their names into “VIROSH.”
In their note, they wrote, “Our dearest loves. Before we made any plans, before we chose anything for ourselves, you were already there. With so much love, you gave us a name. You called us ‘Virosh.’ So today, with full hearts, we name our coming together in your honour.”
They further added, “We would like to name it, ‘The Wedding of VIROSH.’ Thank you for holding us with so much love. You are a part of us, always. Biggest hugs and full love!”
Reports suggest that Vijay and Rashmika had an intimate engagement ceremony in Hyderabad in October last year. The couple is now set to tie the knot in Udaipur on February 26.
The two actors have previously shared screen space in popular Telugu films, including the 2018 romantic comedy Geetha Govindam and the 2019 action drama Dear Comrade, both of which were well received by audiences.
