Hyderabad, Feb 24 (.): Nasuni, a global enterprise file data platform provider, on Tuesday announced the expansion of its Research and Development (R&D) Centre in Hyderabad to accelerate innovation in unified file data management, protection, and AI-driven enterprise solutions.
With unstructured data volumes continuing to grow across industries including manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, media, energy and the public sector, the Hyderabad center strengthens Nasuni’s global engineering capacity to support enterprise modernization initiative worldwide, the Bostan based company said in a release here.
Established in partnership with Summit Consulting and ANSR to support capability development, talent strategy, and operational scaling, the Hyderabad facility was formally inaugurated by Telangana Special Chief Secretary for IT, Electronics & Communications and Industries & Commerce, Sanjay Kumar, in the presence of Nasuni Chief Executive Officer Sam King.
The expansion underscores Telangana’s growing status as a global technology and innovation hub and strengthens Nasuni’s long-term engineering and AI development presence in India.
The expanded centre will work closely with Nasuni’s global teams in the United States and Ireland to advance its enterprise file data platform, including AI integration, file data indexing, and resilient infrastructure design.
Speaking on the occasion, Nasuni CEO Sam King said enterprise AI adoption depends heavily on unified and secure file data infrastructure, adding that the Hyderabad expansion will strengthen the company’s engineering capabilities and accelerate delivery of secure, scalable, and analytics-ready file data services globally.
The Hyderabad facility is Nasuni’s first centre in India, and the company has not yet commenced commercial operations in the country, she said. The Hyderabad R&D teams will focus on semantic indexing, predictive analytics, AI-driven operations, metadata intelligence, zero-trust access controls, and ransomware detection to strengthen enterprise data readiness for artificial intelligence applications.
Nasuni’s Hyderabad R&D centre currently has a workforce of 40 employees and is expected to scale up to 125 by the end of this year, against a total capacity of 145, a senior company official said.
The expansion is expected to strengthen the company’s global engineering capabilities and support enterprise digital transformation initiatives worldwide.
The company currently serves more than 800 enterprise customers across over 70 countries, offering integrated storage, backup, disaster recovery, ransomware protection, and analytics through a hybrid cloud platform.
