Hyderabad, Feb 24 (.) Marking his 42nd birthday with a cinematic flourish, actor Nani has announced his next ambitious project, Bloody Romeo, a pulsating romantic action drama to be directed by Sujeeth, celebrated for his penchant for slick, large-scale entertainers such as “Saaho” and “They Call Him OG”.
The announcement was accompanied by a meticulously stylised two-minute animated teaser that exudes both menace and mischief. Nani is seen at a gangster’s den, chopping onions, crushing garlic pods and adding salt and pepper with his signature flair as the ‘No.1 chef and gangster.’
Bankrolled by Niharika Entertainment and Unanimous Productions, with Venkat Boyanapalli producing it, the release date of the film is yet to be announced, reports Variety India.
On the professional front, Nani will be next seen in “The Paradise,” which marks his reunion with director Srikanth Odela after “Dasara.” The film will also feature Raghav Juyal, Kayadu Lohar, Mohan Babu and Sonali Kulkarni, among others. It is set to release on August 21 this year in eight languages — Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, English, Spanish, Bengali, Kannada and Malayalam.
Sujeeth, meanwhile, continues to consolidate his reputation following the resounding commercial ascendancy of “They Call Him OG”, headlined by Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi, which emerged as a formidable box-office triumph, grossing over ₹154 crore worldwide and cementing its status as one of the year’s biggest openers. . . .
