Hyderabad, Feb 25 (.) A high-level delegation from Brazil-based Companhia Brasileira de Litio (CBL) met Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director Dr. N. Balaram to invite the company to partner in lithium mining operations in Brazil.
CBL Board Director Daniel Leme and Chief Executive Officer Vinicius Alvarenga briefed Singareni officials on their company’s lithium mining projects and expansion plans, the Mining company said in a release here on Wednesday.
They highlighted lithium’s growing global importance as a critical mineral, particularly for electric vehicles, renewable energy storage and advanced technologies, and said the collaboration with Singareni could offer strong long-term prospects.
The CBL representatives also noted that they are in discussions with several Indian companies to explore strategic partnerships in lithium mining and supply chains.
On behalf of Singareni, Director (Projects and Planning) K. Venkateswarlu and Director (Personnel and Finance) Gowtham Potru outlined the company’s operational strengths and diversification plans, including its interest in critical minerals.
Singareni officials said the company would study the technical feasibility, commercial viability and strategic benefits of participating in lithium mining projects in Brazil before taking a final decision.
