Kolkata, Mar 1 (.) India captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to field first against West Indies in the 52nd match of the ICC T20 World Cup Super 8 Group 1clash at the iconic Eden Gardens here on Sunday.
Speaking at the toss, India captain Suryakumar Yadav said, “Surface looks good, it’s a chasing ground. Wicket will get better and with dew factor, chasing is the better option. Already very wild, crowd is in and hopefully we can give them a good show. Of course there is tension and nerves. No pressure no fun. But mood in the camp is good. Same XI.”
West Indies captain Shai Hope said that he too would have elected to feild had he won the toss.
“Have to make sure we play consistent cricket. And need to play our best cricket when it matters the most. Do or die game today. We know what we need to do to win this one. Akeal Hosein comes back and Brandon King misses out.”
