New Delhi, Mar 4 (.) The release of action thriller ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups,’ starring Yash has been postponed to June 4 due to tensions in the Middle East.

The film was originally scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, but the makers have now deferred its release.

‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ will now be released in cinemas across the globe in English and Indian languages on June 4, 2026. “See you at the movies,” the statement further read.

The film stars Yash in the lead role, alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. The film is written by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas.

The makers said the decision was taken keeping in mind the prevailing circumstances and concerns about ensuring the film reaches the widest possible audience.

The team had planned a grand trailer launch event in Bengaluru on March 8 with the film’s first song, Tabaahi, was set to release on March 2. However, the makers have decided to put all promotional activities on hold.

“After years of dedicated labour, we were excited to share our film with you all on the 19th of March. However, the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience,” the statement read.

“Therefore, in the interest of our partners and our audience, we have made the difficult but carefully considered decision to reschedule our release,” it added.

Shot in Kannada and English, the film will also have dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, ensuring a wide theatrical rollout upon its new release date.
