New Delhi, Dec 22 (.) Actor Ajay Devgn is set to reprise his iconic role as Vijay Salgaonkar in ‘Drishyam 3’, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 2, 2026, the makers announced on Monday.
Filming for the highly anticipated third instalment of the popular franchise is currently underway.
Devgn’s Vijay Salgaonkar, a simple middle-class man, has become one of Hindi cinema’s most memorable on-screen fathers. Known for confronting adversity not through violence but with intelligence, determination, and an unwavering devotion to his family, the character has resonated strongly with audiences since the first film.
According to the makers, ‘Drishyam 3’ is being shot across multiple cities and locations. The story will progress within the established ‘Drishyam’ timeline, introducing new and unexpected twists that further complicate the lives of the Salgaonkar family.
The narrative promises high-intensity, edge-of-the-seat drama as the story unfolds. The original ensemble cast, including Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Rajat Kapoor, will return to reprise their roles, along with several other notable actors.
Presented by Star Studios, Drishyam 3 is produced by Panorama Studios and directed by Abhishek Pathak, who has also co-written the film alongside Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. The film is produced by, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak.
Drishyam 3 is set to release in cinemas worldwide on October 2, 2026.
