Los Angeles, Jan 2 (.) Acclaimed director André Øvredal returns to the macabre with his latest cinematic venture, “Passenger”, slated for a theatrical debut on May 29.
The movie features Jacob Scipio, Lou Llobell and Melissa Leo, though plot details are being kept tightly under wraps.
Walter Hamada is producing via 18Hz, alongside Gary Dauberman and his Coin Operated banner.
Øvredal last helmed The Last Voyage of the Demeter, his own take on the Dracula mythos, and is known for projects such as the Guillermo Del Toro-produced Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Passenger currently has the May 29 date to itself, but is flanked by Disney and Lucasfilm’s Mandalorian & Grogu (May 22) and Masters of the Universe (June 5).
