Visakhapatnam, Feb 27 (.): In a significant industrial development for north Andhra, Blue Jet Healthcare Limited (BJHL) will set up a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility at Rambilli Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Anakapalli district with an investment of ₹2,300 crore.
The foundation stone for the project will be laid by Andhra Pradesh Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Saturday.
The State government has allotted 102.48 acres of land in the SEZ at Seethapalem village in Rambilli mandal for the project at ₹40 lakh per acre, along with additional incentives.
The Mumbai-headquartered company, known for its science-led speciality pharmaceutical and healthcare ingredients business, will establish a pharmaceutical intermediates and contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) unit at the site.
The project will be implemented in phases and is expected to commence operations by the 2028–29 financial year.
The proposed unit is likely to generate around 1,750 direct jobs.
The project comes amid the State government’s efforts to attract large-scale investments to north Andhra and accelerate industrial growth in the region.
