Mumbai, Feb 9 (.) Renowned playback singer Arijit Singh will be contributing his voice to the upcoming film “Ek Din”, Aamir Khan Productions announced on Monday, putting an end to widespread speculation about his return to the Bollywood music industry.
According to the production house, Khan personally collaborated with Singh on the track, which took place in the singer’s hometown of Murshidabad.
Previously, speculation had been rife that Khan had visited Singh after he announced a hiatus from his music career in Bollywood, sparking widespread conjecture that the meeting was an effort to persuade him to return.
On the official Instagram handle of Aamir Khan Productions, a photograph captured Arijit with his guitar, seated in conversation with Aamir. The caption read, “Thank you, Arijit, for bringing so much heart to the music of Ek Din.”
Alongside it, Aamir added a personal message: “Thank you Arijit, for lending your voice to our film Ek Din. The four days spent with you, your family and your team felt magical. Love.”
Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, “Ek Din” stars Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan in lead roles. Helmed by Sunil Pandey and backed by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan, and Aparna Purohit.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on May 1. . . .
