London, Feb 13 (.) This year’s BAFTA Film Awards will feature a stirring musical tribute from British singer Jessie Ware, who is set to perform during the ceremony’s ‘In Memoriam’ segment.
Ware, known for tracks including “Say You Love Me,” will take to the Royal Festival Hall stage ahead of the release of her new album Superbloom on April 10.
The In Memoriam section is expected to feature tributes to former BAFTA winners, including Robert Redford and Diane Keaton, according to DEADLINE.
Ware said: “It is a great honour to be performing at the BAFTAs in such an important and special moment to remember people & legends that have passed this year. I’m singing a song from one of my favourite movies by one of my favourite artists and really cannot wait to be on stage in amongst a room of such talented individuals.”
The ceremony will be hosted by Alan Cumming on Sunday, February 22. In the U.K., the event will air on BBC One at 7 p.m. local time, while U.S. audiences can watch on E! at 8 p.m. ET.
