The format for the round of matches which will be played between 13 to 15 of January, once again sees the teams from Spain’s lower divisions guaranteed a home tie against a rival from the top-flight.

Real Madrid has been drawn to play away to second tier Albacete, while Atletico Madrid travels to promotion-chasing Deportivo la Coruna and 2024 Copa del Rey champions, Athletic Bilbao faces Cultural Leonesa, who is coached by former Athletic Bilbao player and coach, Jose Angel ‘Kuko’ Ziganda.
The remaining second division survivor, Burgos entertains La Liga strugglers, Valencia, while there are all top-flight ties between Alaves and Rayo Vallecano, Betis and Elche and a Basque derby between Real Sociedad and Osasuna.
