New Delhi, Jan 16 (.) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday released the official notification with regard to schedule for the election of their national president for which the nominations will take place on January 19.
Under the ongoing ‘Sangathan Parv’ of the saffron party, its National Returning Officer Dr K Laxman, officially announced the election for the post of BJP National President on Friday.
The process for filing nominations will take place between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on January 19, and on the same day the nomination forms will be checked and scrutinised by the officials concerned between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The candidates will be able to withdraw their nominations on the same day, that is January 19, between 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
According to Dr K Laxman, the polling is to be held on January 20, if necessary, and on the same day an official announcement will be made regarding the newly elected national president, between 11.30 a.m to 1.30 p.m.
Presently, Nitin Nabin is the working president of the BJP.
The ongoing Sangathan Parv is structured in different phases which also has elections starting from booth level, going up to the national president of the party.
