Bhubaneswar, Feb 5 (.) Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday watched the premiere of Hindi feature film ‘Godaan’ at his official residence and declared it tax-free in Odisha.
Addressing the media on the occasion, the Chief Minister also announced that a cow research centre will be set up in Odisha soon.
While watching the film, the Chief Minister was moved and said that ‘Godaan’ is a complete family film, which connects children with their parents and gives a strong message to explain the values of Sanatan Dharma.
Appreciating the film’s content and social values, cultural traditions and family values, he said that relevant films like ‘Godaan’ play an important role in creating social awareness and strengthening cultural understanding.
Majhi urged the younger generation to watch the film with their families and advised them to give priority to cultural sentiments in society.
The premiere of the film, which is scheduled to release on February 6, was attended by Mines and Steel Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, the film’s director and sponsor Vinod Kumar Chowdhury, MLAs and other distinguished guests.
