Vadodara, Jan 20 (.) Delhi Capitals Women defeated Mumbai Indians Women by seven wickets in the 13th match of the Women’s Premier League 2026 at BCA Stadium here.
Electing to field after winning the toss, Delhi restricted Mumbai to 154 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs.
Nat Sciver-Brunt was the star with the bat for the visitors, scoring an unbeaten 65 off 45 balls, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur contributed 41 off 33 deliveries.
Shree Charani claimed three crucial wickets for Delhi, including Harmanpreet, Nicola Carey, and Amanjot Kaur, finishing with figures of 3 for 33 in four overs.
In response, Delhi chased down the target in 19 overs for the loss of three wickets. Jemimah Rodrigues led the innings with a fluent 51 not out off 37 balls, supported by Lizelle Lee’s 46 off 28 balls.
Delhi’s innings also featured contributions from Shafali Verma (29) and Marizanne Kapp (10 not out). Amanjot and Vaishnavi Sharma took a wicket apiece for Mumbai, but their efforts were insufficient to defend the total.
Delhi recorded partnerships that proved decisive, notably a 37-run stand between Jemimah Rodrigues and Kapp towards the end to seal the victory. With this win, Delhi strengthened their position in the WPL 2026 points table.
The match was officiated by umpires Vrinda Rathi and Tony Emmatty, with Ajitesh Argal serving as the third umpire and Varsha Nagre as the match referee.
Delhi will look to carry this momentum forward in their upcoming fixtures, while Mumbai will aim to bounce back in the next game.
