New Delhi, Jan 12 (.) On the occasion of Somnath Swabhiman Parv, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday performed jalabhishek and offered prayers at the sacred Hanuman temple located in the Kirori Mal College premises.
Addressing the significance of the day, Rekha Gupta said that Somnath Swabhiman Parv is not just a festival but a reminder of India’s uninterrupted journey of faith spanning over a thousand years.
She described it as a living symbol of the nation’s unshakable devotion, cultural revival and the eternal spirit of Sanatan tradition.
She expressed happiness over the growing sense of pride and respect for India’s rich heritage among the youth, saying it strengthens the belief that India is steadily moving forward towards new heights on the global stage while remaining rooted in its cultural values.
CM also said the reconstruction of the Somnath Temple stands as a symbol of the firm resolve of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and this legacy is today reaching new levels of grandeur and recognition.
