New Delhi, Jan 16 (.) Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh on Friday launched the coffee table book titled ‘Visual Journey of Cleanliness and Community Action’, based on the cleanliness initiatives and community participation of South Zone.
Mayor said that the beautifully designed coffee table book presents a powerful and inspiring visual account of sanitation campaigns, citizen participation, and innovative grassroots efforts undertaken by MCD under the ‘Dilli ko Koode Se Azaadi Campaign’.
The book highlights the collective contributions of Safai Karamcharis, officers, and citizens, whose efforts have led to the transformation of public spaces across Delhi, especially in the South Zone.
He further said that the publication acknowledges the significant contributions of Safai Karamcharis, officers, RWAs, social organiSations, students, and citizens, whose active participation has turned cleanliness into a mass movement across Delhi, including the South Zone.
”The book not only documents MCD’s achievements but also serves as an inspiration for future cleanliness initiatives,” he added.
On the same occasion, South Zone also announced the successful completion of digitisation of service records of all regular Safai Karamcharis.
This administrative reform will ensure transparent, accurate, and easily accessible service records, strengthening efficiency, accountability, and employee welfare.
