New Delhi, Feb 9 (.) Delhi began on Monday on a slightly warmer note, with shallow fog blanketing parts of the city during the early hours, indicating a gradual transition out of winter.
The minimum temperature was recorded at around 9 degrees Celsius, while reduced visibility due to mist was reported in some pockets of the capital.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), shallow fog and mist are expected to continue during early mornings and late nights over the next few days. From February 10 to February 14, weather conditions are likely to remain stable, with no warnings issued for the city.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to hover between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius, while nights may remain cool, with minimum temperatures ranging from 10 to 12 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels are expected to stay moderate, between 50 and 60 percent.
IMD has predicted clear skies and bright sunshine during the day, keeping overall weather conditions normal across Delhi and the NCR. However, despite the dissipation of dense fog, air quality remains a concern. The city’s Air Quality Index continues to be in the ‘poor’ category, with readings crossing the 200 mark.
With rising day temperatures and persistent but lighter fog, Delhi is set to experience a slow and steady shift towards milder weather conditions in the coming days.
