Mumbai, Jan 29 (.) Speculation around the upcoming digital release of “Dhurandhar” suggests that audiences may get access to a version that goes beyond what was shown in cinemas.
Earlier, Netflix had officially stated that “Dhurandhar” is towards its digital release on January 30.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has continued to command audience interest weeks after its cinema release on December 5, 2025, buoyed by its pulsating action set-pieces, formidable ensemble cast and an expansive espionage-driven narrative.
The film’s digital rights were acquired by Netflix as part of an exclusive deal that also includes its sequel, Dhurandhar 2, with the combined package reportedly valued at around Rs 130 crore.
Trade analysts believe the OTT release was deliberately positioned after an extended cinematic run to allow the movie to maximise its box office potential before moving to streaming. By delaying the Netflix debut until late January, the producers ensured that Dhurandhar enjoyed significant theatrical legs, giving audiences ample time to experience it on the big screen before its home release, reports Bollywood Hungama.
For now, the talk of an uncut edition remains unconfirmed, with no official clarification on whether the OTT release will differ from the theatrical cut. . . .
