Hyderabad, Feb 3 (.) EBG Group on Tuesday announced a major expansion into India’s film and content ecosystem with the launch of its new subsidiary EBG Films and the integration of long-time creative partner Button Creative.
The Group has committed Rs 50 crore per year to fund feature films, biopics, originals, and creator-driven projects.
Under the partnership, Button Creative will lead advertising and branded content, while EBG Films will focus on feature films, biopics, mythology-driven originals, and creator funding (₹1–₹5 crore budgets), the company said in a release.
Irfan Khan, Founder & CEO, said the initiative aims to elevate storytelling across formats, adding that one project is already completed with more announcements expected soon.
EBG Films is set to collaborate with a leading South Indian superstar and has lined up projects including a biopic on Swami Vivekananda and Vayuputra.
Collaborations are planned with Green Gold Animation Pvt. Ltd. (creators of Chhota Bheem) and industry partners, including executive producer Shamsi Abbas.
Button Creative co-founders Shafique Shad Fakih, Rohit Prakash, and Akanscha Ravindra Srivastava said the alliance unlocks data-driven insights across EBG’s brand portfolio while enabling faster, creativity-first execution.
Hari Kiran, Co-Founder & COO of EBG Group, said that the Group will also expand branded content for portfolio brands, launch a podcast series on underdog founders, and keep sustainability and social impact at the core of its creative push.
