Los Angeles, Jan 19 (.) India’s Junglee Pictures has announced a collaboration with acclaimed filmmaker Raj Kumar Gupta for an upcoming tentpole theatrical feature, uniting the studio behind hits like ‘Badhaai Ho’ and ‘Raazi’ with the director of the ‘Raid’ franchise, confirms Variety.
Gupta, known for ‘Raid, Raid 2, No One Killed Jessica, and Aamir’, has earned a reputation for reality-based narratives with commercial appeal. His latest release, ‘Raid 2’, ranked among the top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood theatrical releases of 2025.
According to Variety, the collaboration combines Gupta’s grounded storytelling style with Junglee Pictures’ legacy of content-driven cinema across genres. The studio, which debuted with Dil Dhadakne Do, has since produced successes including Badhaai Ho, Raazi, Talvar, Badhaai Do, and Bareilly Ki Barfi.
In 2025, its slate included Haq and the Malayalam film Ronth, both critically acclaimed across theatrical and streaming platforms.
The untitled project has completed its scripting phase, with casting expected to begin soon. The film promises an intense narrative in line with Gupta’s signature style.
