New Delhi, January 19 (.) Around 10,000 special guests from diverse walks of life have been invited to witness the 77th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path in the national capital, as part of the government’s initiative to recognise grassroots contributors and enhance public participation in national celebrations.
The invitees include individuals and groups who have demonstrated exemplary performance in income and employment generation, innovation, research, start-ups, Self Help Groups and beneficiaries of key government schemes. The initiative aims to honour their contributions to nation-building and strengthen Jan Bhagidari (people’s participation) in events of national importance.
These special guests will be given prominent seating arrangements at Kartavya Path. Besides attending the parade, they will also visit the National War Memorial, PM Sangrahalay and other prominent landmarks in Delhi, and will get opportunities to interact with cabinet ministers.
Among the invitees are winners of the World Athletics Para Championships; farmers practising natural farming; top-performing farmers supported under the Pulses Self-Reliance Mission; beneficiaries rehabilitated under the PM SMILE scheme; beneficiaries of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan; and trained MAITRI personnel providing animal husbandry and cattle breeding services in rural areas.
The list also includes heads and CEOs of companies supported under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, scientists and technical experts associated with major ISRO missions such as Gaganyaan and Chandrayaan, researchers working on isotope production and the Deep Ocean Mission, and innovators and students trained under Atal Tinkering Laboratories.
Winners of international sports tournaments, women producer groups supported under PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana, artisans trained under Khadi Vikas Yojana and PM Vishwakarma scheme, beneficiaries of tribal welfare initiatives, best-performing start-ups and MSMEs under programmes such as Semicon India, Bio E3 Policy and the Self-Reliant India (SRI) Fund have also been invited.
Other special guests include unorganised sector workers receiving pensions under PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, women entrepreneurs supported under PM Mudra Yojana, Divyaang beneficiaries, SC/ST entrepreneurs and ex-servicemen running Janaushadhi Kendras, street vendors under PM SVANidhi, water warriors of the National Mission for Clean Ganga, and beneficiaries of Jal Jeevan Mission.
The guest list further features construction workers from the Border Roads Organisation and Kartavya Bhawan, best-performing Anganwadi workers under Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0, disaster management volunteers, My Bharat volunteers, Lakhpati Didis under NRLM, primary agricultural credit societies, intellectual property holders, participants of Mann Ki Baat, winners of the Veer Gatha project, and children who won the National School Band Competition.
Foreign delegates under the Youth Exchange Programme 2026, international and Indian monk delegations attending the 2nd Global Buddhist Summit 2026, and medal winners of the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (Junior) 2025 will also be part of the celebrations.
