    Los Angeles, Feb 2 (.) The 68th Grammy Awards have arrived, with music’s biggest stars lighting up the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.

    The ceremony takes place on Feb 1 at 5 pm PT, Variety reports.

    Rap superstar Kendrick Lamar leads this year’s nominations with nine, following his dominant five-win night at last year’s show. His late-2024 album GNX is up for album of the year alongside Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos, Justin Bieber’s Swag, Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend, Clipse’s Let God Sort Em Out, Lady Gaga’s Meyhem, Leon Thomas’ Mutt and Tyler, the Creator’s Chromakopia.

    Close behind is Lady Gaga, who earned seven nominations, surpassing her previous personal best of six from 2010. She now ties producers Jack Antonoff and Cirkut for the second-most nominations this year. Gaga is recognised across major categories, including album of the year, record of the year, song of the year, best pop solo performance, best pop vocal album, best dance pop recording and best traditional pop vocal album.

    Third place features a four-way tie, with Leon Thomas, Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny and acclaimed audio engineer and mixer Serban Ghenea each earning six nominations.

    According to Variety, one of the year’s biggest breakout songs came from an unexpected source: Netflix. “Golden,” from the animated hit KPop Demon Hunters, is nominated for best song alongside Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra,” Doechii’s “Anxiety,” Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.,” Bad Bunny’s “DtMF,” Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” and Billie Eilish’s “Wildflower.”

    The record of the year category includes Bad Bunny’s “DtMF,” Carpenter’s “Manchild,” Doechii’s “Anxiety,” Eilish’s “Wildflower,” Gaga’s “Abracadabra,” Lamar and SZA’s “Luther,” Chappell Roan’s “The Subway,” and Rosé and Mars’ “APT.”
