Bengaluru, Jan 22 (.) Intech Additive Solutions Private Limited has announced the launch of Infinity 450 Series, India’s first and largest eight-laser metal additive manufacturing system, aimed at making serial production commercially viable for industrial manufacturers.
The new platform was unveiled at the ongoing IMTEX Forming 2026 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru.
Built with a 450 × 450 × 450 mm build volume and powered by eight synchronised 500W fibre lasers, the Infinity 450 Series targets manufacturers seeking predictable economics, higher throughput and repeatable quality at production scale. The company said the system has been designed to overcome key limitations that have so far restricted metal additive manufacturing largely to prototyping and small-batch production.
According to Intech Additive, the eight-laser architecture operates in parallel across precision-defined zones with calibrated overlap, ensuring consistent part quality across the entire build plate. This configuration can reduce cost per part by up to 70 percent and increase annual throughput by as much as six times compared to conventional systems.
Founder and Director of Intech Additive Solutions, Sridhar Balaram, said additive manufacturing becomes relevant for serial production only when it delivers predictable economics at scale. “With the Infinity 450 Series, we focused on cost per part, throughput and repeatability—not just speed. What makes this system production-ready is the way hardware, process and software work as one, enabling manufacturers to move from pilots to dependable serial production,” he said.
The Infinity platform has been engineered for industrial reliability and continuous operation. The company said zone-level synchronisation maintains uniform quality across large builds, while optimised laser utilisation and a scalable architecture support near-continuous production with minimal downtime. The system is also automation-ready, with provisions for powder handling, monitoring and end-to-end workflow integration.
A key feature of the Infinity Series is its unified software environment, which integrates build preparation, multi-laser coordination, process control, monitoring and production optimisation within a single framework. Intech Additive said this approach addresses operational fragmentation and accountability issues that often arise when hardware and software are sourced from multiple vendors.
Director (Sales and Marketing) Srinivas Shastry said fragmented production environments create risk for manufacturers. “With the Infinity Series, customers get a unified hardware-software ecosystem they can operate as a production system, not an experiment. This clarity gives decision-makers the confidence to scale additive manufacturing,” he said.
The company is targeting sectors such as aerospace and defence, automotive, energy and tooling, where scalability, repeatability and return on investment are critical for adoption. Intech Additive said the Infinity 450 Series positions metal additive manufacturing as a viable serial production option in India by anchoring the platform around cost reduction, throughput and system-level integration.
Intech Additive Solutions Pvt. Ltd designs and manufactures industrial metal additive manufacturing systems along with integrated software platforms for production-scale deployment, focusing on predictable economics and end-to-end accountability across manufacturing workflows.
