  • Integration of RRTS Namo Bharat with DMRC commissioned at Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar station

    New Delhi, Jan 11 (.) The seamless integration of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Namo Bharat with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) was operationalised on Sunday at the New Ashok Nagar Metro Station in Delhi, and the integrated passenger movement corridor was formally opened for public use, the Central Industrial Security Force said.

    New Delhi, Jan 11 (.) The seamless integration of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Namo Bharat with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) was operationalised on Sunday at the New Ashok Nagar Metro Station in Delhi, and the integrated passenger movement corridor was formally opened for public use, the Central Industrial Security Force said.
    CISF, being the agency responsible for the formulating the security protocols and ensuring passenger security is also ensuring the through this integration, the smooth and secure interchange for passengers travelling between DMRC and RRTS networks.
    The event took place in the presence of CISF and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), and National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) officials, where CISF, entrusted with the responsibility of integrated security, played a pivotal role in facilitating the operational linkage between the two systems.
    According to a senior CISF official, the integration has been achieved through coordination and adherence to a structured Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) jointly developed by CISF Unit DMRC in consultation with NCRTC and state security forces.
    The SOP ensures uniform security protocols, coordinated inspections, controlled access management, and enhanced passenger safety.
    The RRTS ‘Namo Bharat’ project, implemented by NCRTC under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, aims to provide fast, reliable, and sustainable regional connectivity across NCR.
    CISF, which is a premier security force of the country, is responsible for securing vital installations and projects across the nation has been deployed for protecting the RRTS stations, and also the Metro in Delhi.
