The Insolvency Professional Agency of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (IPA-ICMAI), a frontline regulator registered with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) has commenced a three-day residential programme titled “Unlocking the Secrets of Insolvency” in Shillong, Meghalaya, intended to enhance technical competence of insolvency professionals.
The program brings together insolvency professionals, regulators, senior bankers, legal experts, academicians and other key stakeholders from across the country for an immersive learning experience to foster in-depth technical competence on matters related to insolvency matters in a focused environment away from routine professional pressures.
Over the three days, participants will deliberate on a wide range of contemporary and emerging issues under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), including expectations from IBC 2.0, valuation challenges, interim finance, pre-CIRP settlements, sector-specific concerns and innovative approaches to resolving stalemates in insolvency proceedings.
The agenda also includes fireside chats, research paper presentations, structured networking engagements, as well as yoga and wellness sessions aimed at promoting holistic professional development.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of IPA-ICMAI said the residential nature of the programme is intended not only to enhance technical competence but also to promote ethical reflection, peer-to-peer learning and collaborative thought leadership within the insolvency profession.
The Shillong programme continues IPA-ICMAI’s tradition of organising high-impact residential learning initiatives focused on strengthening professional standards and advancing the insolvency framework in India.
With a carefully curated schedule and participation from seasoned experts, the programme is expected to serve as a significant knowledge-sharing platform and a meaningful professional retreat for delegates. . SAS KK
