New Delhi, Feb 24 (.) Janhvi Kapoor couldn’t contain her excitement after the trailer of ‘Subedaar’, starring her uncle Anil Kapoor, was unveiled online.
The action-drama is set to premiere on Prime Video on March 5, and Janhvi was quick to shower praise on her “Chachu” for his intense new avatar.
The trailer introduces Anil Kapoor as Arjun Maurya, a retired soldier attempting to adapt to civilian life while battling personal struggles and confronting broader societal challenges. Filled with gripping action sequences and emotionally charged moments, the trailer has already generated buzz among audiences and members of the film industry.
Reacting to the trailer, Janhvi shared it on her Instagram Story and wrote, “Can’t wait for this! Chachu is back to show us how it’s done.”
Moved by her message, Anil Kapoor reshared her post and replied warmly, “Thank you Beta”
Arjun Kapoor also joined in to support his uncle. Sharing the trailer on his Instagram Story, he wrote, “Subedaar of the Kapoor khandaan playing subedaar on Primevideoin!! I loved the trailer Anilkapoor chachuu. What a bunch of talented people coming together to kick some ass!! Can’t wait for 5th March.”
Directed by Suresh Triveni and co-written with Prajwal Chandrashekar, ‘Subedaar’ is described as a high-impact masala action-drama that combines large-scale action with emotional storytelling.
The story follows Arjun Maurya as he takes on societal dysfunction while dealing with a strained relationship with his daughter Shyama, portrayed by Radhikka Madan.
The film also features Aditya Rawal, Faisal Malik, Mona Singh, Saurabh Shukla and Khushboo Sundar in pivotal roles.
‘Subedaar’ will begin streaming on March 5 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, reaching audiences across India and in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
On the professional front, Janhvi had a packed 2025. She featured in Neeraj Ghaywan’s ‘Homebound’ alongside Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa. She was also seen in ‘Param Sundari’ and ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’.
